LIC Profit Surges 20% to Rs 12,076 Crore in Q2 FY27

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) announced a significant 20.1% year-on-year increase in net profit for the second quarter of FY27, reaching Rs 12,076 crore. This growth surpasses the Rs 10,053 crore profit recorded in the same quarter last year. Total premium income saw an 11.6% rise to Rs 2,74,269 crore in the first half of FY27. While individual new business premium income grew by 14.9%, the number of individual policies sold slightly decreased by 2.3% to approximately 71 lakh.

लाइफ इंश्योरेंस कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (LIC) ने वित्त वर्ष 2027 की दूसरी तिमाही के लिए अपने शुद्ध लाभ में साल-दर-साल 20.1% की बड़ी वृद्धि की घोषणा की है, जो ₹12,076 करोड़ तक पहुंच गया है। यह वृद्धि पिछले साल की इसी तिमाही में दर्ज ₹10,053 करोड़ के लाभ से कहीं ज़्यादा है। वित्त वर्ष 2027 की पहली छमाही में कुल प्रीमियम आय 11.6% बढ़कर ₹2,74,269 करोड़ हो गई। जबकि व्यक्तिगत नए व्यवसाय प्रीमियम आय में 14.9% की वृद्धि हुई, बेची गई व्यक्तिगत पॉलिसियों की संख्या थोड़ी 2.3% घटकर लगभग 71 लाख रह गई।
