A farmer in Egypt's Gharbia province unearthed a massive 28-foot statue of Pharaoh Ramses II while tilling land. The statue, believed to be over 27 feet tall including its base, features the pharaoh wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. Archaeologists also found a smaller eight-foot statue and a granite block with hieroglyphic inscriptions. Ramses II is famously linked in the Bible to the story of Moses and the enslavement of Israelites.
