Lucknow Rainfall 50 Times Normal in Sep

Lucknow experienced rainfall nearly 50 times the normal for a single September day on Saturday. Incessant rain for around 40 hours amounted to 177.1 mm, exceeding the monthly average of 162.1 mm. This was the heaviest rainfall of the monsoon season and the highest single-day rainfall in September in four years. The downpour also caused temperatures to drop significantly, making the city feel like a hill station. Officials expect wet conditions to continue with possible thunderstorms on Sunday.

लखनऊ में सितंबर में सामान्य से 50 गुना ज़्यादा बारिश

शनिवार को लखनऊ में सितंबर के किसी एक दिन के लिए सामान्य बारिश से लगभग 50 गुना ज़्यादा बारिश हुई। करीब 40 घंटे की लगातार बारिश 177.1 मिमी दर्ज की गई, जो महीने के औसत 162.1 मिमी से ज़्यादा है। यह मानसून सीज़न की सबसे भारी बारिश थी और चार सालों में सितंबर के महीने में एक दिन में हुई सबसे ज़्यादा बारिश थी। इस मूसलाधार बारिश से तापमान में भी काफी गिरावट आई, जिससे शहर हिल स्टेशन जैसा महसूस होने लगा। अधिकारियों को रविवार को भी बारिश जारी रहने और गरज के साथ छींटे पड़ने की उम्मीद है।
