Woman Attempts to Throw Purse at Bombay High Court Judge After Eviction Order

A litigant at the Bombay High Court attempted to throw her purse at Justice Madhav Jamdar after an eviction order was passed against her and her children. The court was hearing a contempt petition related to an eviction decree from 2009, which the Thukral family had re-entered after its execution. Justice Jamdar noted the litigant's behaviour amounted to contempt of court and appointed a court receiver to take possession of the premises. The judge summoned police, who removed the woman, and indicated imposing heavy costs and initiating contempt proceedings.
