Calcutta University to Allocate 25% Marks Internally

Calcutta University is proposing to allocate 25% of undergraduate marks to internal assessments, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. This move aims to encourage regular class attendance and improve student understanding of subjects. The proposal will be presented to the CU Syndicate soon. Currently, 75% of marks are for written exams, with the rest for tutorials and projects. The new system will reduce written exam marks to 50%, dedicating 25% to internal assessment and keeping the remaining 25% for other components.
