Owaisi Approaches Supreme Court Over Voter List Revision Process

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the SIR process for voter lists. Owaisi alleges that the SIR is a backdoor attempt to implement the NRC and infringes upon the rights of the poor and voters. His lawyer, Nizamuddin Pasha, requested the Chief Justice of India to list the plea alongside similar pending cases. The CJI assured that the matter would be examined and listed appropriately, offering hope for a swift hearing on the opposition's concerns.

AIMIM प्रमुख असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने मतदाता सूचियों के SIR प्रक्रिया को चुनौती देते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की है। ओवैसी का आरोप है कि SIR, NRC लागू करने का एक गुप्त प्रयास है और यह गरीबों और मतदाताओं के अधिकारों का उल्लंघन करता है। उनके वकील, निजामुद्दीन पाशा ने भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश से इस याचिका को समान लंबित मामलों के साथ सूचीबद्ध करने का अनुरोध किया। CJI ने आश्वासन दिया कि मामले की जांच की जाएगी और उचित रूप से सूचीबद्ध किया जाएगा, जिससे विपक्ष की चिंताओं पर त्वरित सुनवाई की उम्मीद जगी है।
