Crane Collapses at Beypore Port During Cargo Loading, No Injuries Reported

A standing crane at Beypore Port in Kozhikode collapsed on Tuesday morning while loading construction materials onto a vessel bound for Lakshadweep. The incident occurred around 9 am at the old wharf when crane number three suddenly snapped. Fortunately, workers engaged in the operation managed to escape unharmed. Cargo handling operations were temporarily disrupted following the accident, with workers attributing the collapse to the crane's deterioration.

मंगलवार सुबह कोझिकोड के बेयपोर पोर्ट पर लक्षद्वीप जा रहे एक जहाज पर निर्माण सामग्री लादते समय एक खड़ी क्रेन गिर गई। यह घटना पुराने घाट पर सुबह करीब 9 बजे हुई जब क्रेन नंबर तीन अचानक टूट गई। गनीमत रही कि ऑपरेशन में लगे मजदूर बाल-बाल बच गए। हादसे के बाद माल चढ़ाने का काम कुछ देर के लिए रुक गया था, मजदूरों ने क्रेन के खराब होने को इसका कारण बताया।
