CUET-UG 2027 May Feature Fewer Subjects, Shorter Papers

The CUET-UG entrance examination may undergo significant changes by 2027, aiming for a simpler and shorter testing cycle. Proposals include reducing the number of subjects from five to four and shortening individual paper durations. The goal is to allow students to complete all their tests within approximately 180 to 200 minutes, potentially on a single day. A new subject grouping system is also being considered to streamline scheduling and reduce the need for multiple exam center visits. These changes are being discussed by the Ministry of Education, UGC, and NTA.
