Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has questioned the Congress and INDIA bloc's opposition to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He stated that similar exercises were conducted during previous Congress-led governments, urging the party to examine its own record. Dhami alleged that the opposition is spreading misleading information about SIR, creating confusion around a process aimed at ensuring accurate and transparent voter lists. He emphasized the Election Commission of India's constitutional role and cautioned against statements that could undermine public confidence in electoral institutions.

उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) पर कांग्रेस और INDIA गठबंधन के विरोध पर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछली कांग्रेस सरकारों के दौरान भी ऐसे ही अभ्यास किए गए थे, और उन्होंने पार्टी से अपने रिकॉर्ड की जांच करने का आग्रह किया। धामी ने आरोप लगाया कि विपक्ष SIR के बारे में भ्रामक जानकारी फैला रहा है, जिससे सटीक और पारदर्शी मतदाता सूची बनाने की प्रक्रिया के आसपास भ्रम पैदा हो रहा है। उन्होंने चुनाव आयोग की संवैधानिक भूमिका पर जोर दिया और ऐसे बयानों के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी जो चुनावी संस्थानों में जनता के विश्वास को कम कर सकते हैं।
