Patna HC Dismisses Plea Seeking Intervention in VC Recruitment Process

The Patna High Court has dismissed a plea that sought judicial intervention in the ongoing recruitment of vice-chancellors for Veer Kunwar Singh University, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, and Magadh University. A single bench, led by Justice Harish Kumar, dismissed the writ petition filed by Dr. Gulab Chand Ram Jaiswal. The petitioner had challenged the recruitment advertisement issued on May 30, citing irregularities after a previous advertisement for the same posts was cancelled. The court's decision allows the recruitment process to proceed without external judicial interference.

पटना हाई कोर्ट ने वीर कुंवर सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, तिलका मांझी भागलपुर विश्वविद्यालय और मगध विश्वविद्यालय के उप-कुलपतियों (वीसी) की चल रही भर्ती प्रक्रिया में न्यायिक हस्तक्षेप की मांग करने वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी है। जस्टिस हरीश कुमार की एकल पीठ ने डॉ. गुलाब चंद राम जायसवाल द्वारा दायर रिट याचिका को खारिज कर दिया। याचिकाकर्ता ने पिछली बार इसी पदों के लिए विज्ञापन रद्द होने के बाद अनियमितताओं का हवाला देते हुए 30 मई को जारी भर्ती विज्ञापन को चुनौती दी थी। अदालत के इस फैसले से भर्ती प्रक्रिया बाहरी न्यायिक हस्तक्षेप के बिना आगे बढ़ सकेगी।
