Maruti Invicto Buyer Gets Rs 3.6 Lakh Relief For Repainted Parts

A Kerala consumer court has ordered a Maruti Suzuki dealer to either replace a Rs 25.21 lakh Invicto car or pay Rs 3.6 lakh in relief to a buyer. The buyer alleged that the car's bonnet, left door, and upper portion were repainted before delivery without his knowledge. An expert report confirmed the repainting and noted differences in colour matching and loose interior roof lining. The commission awarded Rs 2 lakh for repairs, Rs 1.5 lakh for mental agony, and Rs 10,000 in costs.

केरल के एक उपभोक्ता न्यायालय ने मारुति सुजुकी डीलर को ₹25.21 लाख की इन्विक्टो कार को बदलने या खरीदार को ₹3.6 लाख का मुआवज़ा देने का आदेश दिया है। खरीदार ने आरोप लगाया था कि कार के बोनट, बाईं ओर के दरवाज़े और ऊपरी हिस्से को उसकी जानकारी के बिना डिलीवरी से पहले ही दोबारा रंगा गया था। एक विशेषज्ञ रिपोर्ट ने दोबारा रंगाई की पुष्टि की और रंग मिलान में अंतर तथा अंदरूनी छत की ढीली लाइनिंग का भी उल्लेख किया। आयोग ने मरम्मत के लिए ₹2 लाख, मानसिक पीड़ा के लिए ₹1.5 लाख और ₹10,000 का हर्जाना दिया।
