Gold Prices Surge 60%, Sales Drop 15%

Gold prices have seen a significant surge of 60% from last year, reaching Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams. This sharp increase has led to a 15% decline in gold sales volume during Ganesh Chaturthi. Consumers are opting for lighter jewellery or exchanging old gold due to the high costs. Despite the drop, jewellers are optimistic about wedding season demand and growing interest in diamond and gold coins.

पिछले साल के मुकाबले सोने के दाम 60% बढ़कर 10 ग्राम 1.57 लाख रुपये हो गए हैं। इस भारी उछाल के कारण गणेश चतुर्थी पर सोने की बिक्री में 15% की गिरावट आई है। लोग महंगे दाम के चलते हल्की ज्वेलरी खरीद रहे हैं या पुराना सोना बदलवा रहे हैं। हालांकि, ज्वैलर्स को शादी के सीजन और डायमंड व गोल्ड कॉइन में बढ़ती दिलचस्पी से उम्मीद है।
