Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport is set to undergo resurfacing of its Alfa taxiway. The airport operator, BIAL, has invited external agencies to submit proposals for the project. Work will involve milling the pavement and laying a new bituminous concrete mix, with asphalt production starting in advance. BIAL will ensure minimal airside disruptions and adhere to international aviation and environmental guidelines. Rigorous clearing will be conducted to protect aircraft engines, and all work will pause during rain to ensure quality.
