A UAE investigation has concluded that an Omani co-pilot attempted a terrorist act on a flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv. The co-pilot attacked the captain with a crash axe and tried to seize control of the aircraft, causing the plane to rapidly descend over 17,000 feet. Authorities in Australia, Israel, and the UAE are investigating the co-pilot's background and motives. The flight carried 174 passengers and transmitted emergency signals during the incident. The captain sustained serious injuries during the attack.
