The event featured full and half marathons with a prize pool of ₹3.17 crore, including awards for local runners.

कश्मीर मैराथन के तीसरे संस्करण में भारत और 12 अन्य देशों के 2,000 से ज़्यादा धावकों ने हिस्सा लिया, जिसे मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। अब्दुल्ला ने कहा कि मैराथन का मकसद जम्मू और कश्मीर की खेल पर्यटन के वैश्विक गंतव्य के रूप में स्थिति को मजबूत करना, साथ ही फिटनेस और स्वस्थ जीवन को बढ़ावा देना है। इस आयोजन में फुल और हाफ मैराथन शामिल थे, जिसमें स्थानीय धावकों के लिए पुरस्कारों सहित ₹3.17 करोड़ की पुरस्कार राशि थी।
