Tibet Earthquake Kills 16, Injures Dozens; Homes Collapsed

A powerful magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Tibet, killing at least 16 people and injuring 32 others, according to state media. Hundreds of homes and livestock sheds collapsed in the remote Himalayan region due to the shallow quake. Power and communication lines were also disrupted. This is the strongest quake to hit the region in five years and the most powerful in China since January 2024. Disaster relief efforts are underway as officials assess the damage.
