The protest, which began on September 11, involves symbolic agitations like lying on pyres in water and wearing nooses. The project, costing ₹693 crore, will displace 1,450 families across eight villages. Protesters allege irregularities and delays in the land acquisition process that started in 2018. This movement is an extension of an eight-month-long agitation in the Bundelkhand region.

मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना जिले के ग्रामीण मझगांव सिंचाई परियोजना के कारण विस्थापन के लिए उचित मुआवजा और पुनर्वास की मांग को लेकर अपना जल सत्याग्रह विरोध जारी रखे हुए हैं। 11 सितंबर को शुरू हुए इस विरोध में पानी में चिता पर लेटना और फंदे पहनना जैसे प्रतीकात्मक आंदोलन शामिल हैं। ₹693 करोड़ की लागत वाली इस परियोजना से आठ गांवों के 1,450 परिवार विस्थापित होंगे। प्रदर्शनकारियों का आरोप है कि 2018 में शुरू हुई भूमि अधिग्रहण प्रक्रिया में अनियमितताएं और देरी हुई है। यह आंदोलन बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र में आठ महीने से चल रहे आंदोलन का विस्तार है।
