Telangana farmers are increasingly shifting to horticulture crops like flowers, red chilli, and spices during Kharif 2026, driven by concerns over El Niño's impact on monsoons and irrigation stress. Flower cultivation saw a 198% increase, with other spices up 192% and red chilli by 80%. The Agriculture Minister urged officials to promote these crops, provide quality seeds, and explore vegetable exports. Discussions also focused on strengthening supply chains and cold storage facilities. Oil palm cultivation and intercropping with cocoa were also highlighted as ways to boost farmer income.

तेलंगाना के किसान खरीफ 2026 के दौरान फूलों, लाल मिर्च और मसालों जैसी बागवानी फसलों की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं। इसकी वजह एल नीनो के मानसून पर असर और सिंचाई के तनाव को लेकर चिंताएं हैं। फूलों की खेती में 198% की वृद्धि देखी गई, जबकि अन्य मसालों में 192% और लाल मिर्च में 80% की वृद्धि हुई। कृषि मंत्री ने अधिकारियों से इन फसलों को बढ़ावा देने, गुणवत्ता वाले बीज उपलब्ध कराने और सब्जी निर्यात की संभावनाओं को तलाशने का आग्रह किया। आपूर्ति श्रृंखलाओं और कोल्ड स्टोरेज सुविधाओं को मजबूत करने पर भी चर्चा हुई। किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के तरीकों के रूप में तेल ताड़ की खेती और कोको के साथ अंतर-फसल को भी उजागर किया गया।
