The probe centers on irregularities in the purchase of 20 villas at Ananta resorts in Udaipur and Alwar by Agrawal and his family members. He is accused of colluding with Goyal Fashions Private Limited directors to secure undue benefits for the company, including financial packages and construction relaxations. The bureau suspects these villas were acquired at prices substantially below market value, potentially causing significant losses to the state government.

राजस्थान की एंटी-करप्शन ब्यूरो (ACB) ने वरिष्ठ आई.ए.एस. अधिकारी शिखर अग्रवाल के खिलाफ अपने पद का कथित दुरुपयोग करने के लिए एक प्रारंभिक जांच शुरू की है। यह जांच अग्रवाल और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों द्वारा उदयपुर और अलवर में अनंत रिसॉर्ट्स में 20 विला की खरीद में अनियमितताओं पर केंद्रित है। उन पर गोयल फैशंस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के निदेशकों के साथ मिलीभगत कर कंपनी को अनुचित लाभ, जिसमें वित्तीय पैकेज और निर्माण में छूट शामिल है, दिलाने का आरोप है। ब्यूरो को संदेह है कि ये विला बाजार मूल्य से काफी कम कीमत पर खरीदे गए थे, जिससे राज्य सरकार को भारी नुकसान हो सकता था।
