Union questions Kerala CM on controversial GNA power deal

The Electricity Employees’ Federation of India (EEFI) has raised serious questions with Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan regarding the GNA power purchase offer, alleging the deal is secretive and the government has shown undue interest. EEFI convener M G Suresh Kumar challenged the CM’s claims, questioning the suppression of KSEB reports warning of losses and demanding the GNA file’s release. He disputed the financial claims, citing alternative offers and the state’s lack of an acute power crisis, questioning the government's eagerness to buy more power.

इलेक्ट्रिसिटी एम्प्लॉइज फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (EEFI) ने केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी डी सतीशेन से GNA बिजली खरीद प्रस्ताव को लेकर गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। आरोप है कि यह सौदा गुप्त है और सरकार ने इसमें अनुचित दिलचस्पी दिखाई है। EEFI संयोजक एम जी सुरेश कुमार ने सीएम के दावों को चुनौती दी है। उन्होंने KSEB की रिपोर्टों को दबाए जाने पर सवाल उठाए, जिनमें नुकसान की चेतावनी दी गई थी। उन्होंने GNA फाइल जारी करने की मांग की। उन्होंने वित्तीय दावों पर भी आपत्ति जताई, वैकल्पिक प्रस्तावों और राज्य में बिजली संकट की कमी का हवाला दिया। उन्होंने सरकार की अधिक बिजली खरीदने की उत्सुकता पर सवाल उठाए।
