China's economy experienced a stronger-than-anticipated growth of 4.5 percent in the third quarter, surpassing official targets and analysts' predictions. This expansion was largely driven by a significant surge in exports, particularly in technology-related goods like semiconductors, fueled by the global AI boom. Despite this export-led success, the world's second-largest economy continues to grapple with subdued domestic demand and a struggling property market. The government had set a target of 4.5 to 5 percent growth for the year, which would represent one of its slowest expansions in decades.
