Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the mafia has no place in the state, stating that land reclaimed from their control will be used for building multi-storey homes for the poor, Dalits, and marginalised communities. He made these remarks while addressing a felicitation ceremony for sanitation workers in Varanasi. The CM also announced strict action against wage deductions for sanitation workers and highlighted efforts to ensure their welfare, including a minimum honorarium of ₹16,000 and access to insurance and provident fund benefits.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि प्रदेश में माफिया के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि माफिया से खाली कराई गई जमीन गरीबों, दलितों और वंचित समुदायों के लिए बहुमंजिला मकान बनाने में इस्तेमाल की जाएगी। उन्होंने यह बात वाराणसी में सफाई कर्मचारियों के सम्मान समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए कही। सीएम ने सफाई कर्मचारियों के वेतन कटौती के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की भी घोषणा की और उनके कल्याण के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें ₹16,000 का न्यूनतम मानदेय और बीमा व भविष्य निधि लाभ तक पहुंच शामिल है।
