Indian Patent Office Logo Use Requires Govt Approval

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has issued a public notice stating that no entity can use the Indian Patent Office (IPO) logo without prior written approval. This directive comes after instances of unauthorized use of the logo by various individuals, agencies, and online platforms. Such misuse creates a misleading impression of government endorsement. All stakeholders are instructed to remove any unauthorized display of the logo, with non-compliance.

उद्योग और आंतरिक व्यापार संवर्धन विभाग (DPIIT) ने एक नोटिस जारी किया है। अब कोई भी बिना लिखित इजाजत के इंडियन पेटेंट ऑफिस (IPO) का लोगो इस्तेमाल नहीं कर सकता। यह इसलिए किया गया है क्योंकि कुछ लोग और वेबसाइटें बिना अनुमति के लोगो का इस्तेमाल कर रही थीं। इससे लगता है कि सरकार की तरफ से उन्हें मान्यता मिली हुई है। सबको कहा गया है कि वे तुरंत लोगो का गलत इस्तेमाल बंद करें।
