Kochi Corporation Told to Stop Vehicle Washing Near Kadambrayar River
The Hindu · india
Kerala's pollution control board has directed the Kochi Corporation to cease washing vehicles and dumping food waste near the Kadambrayar river in Brahmapuram. Inspections revealed food waste vehicles were washed at the dumping site, and waste was dumped near a biomining area, both close to the river. These activities pose a high risk of contaminated wastewater entering the Kadambrayar, a polluted river stretch. The Corporation has been asked to manage leachate and stop further dumping in reclaimed areas.
