Punjab Police Initiate Extradition of 14 UK-Based Individuals in Human Trafficking Case

Punjab Police's Bureau of Investigation has begun the process to extradite 14 residents from the UK suspected of involvement in an international human trafficking racket. The individuals allegedly used forged e-visa and employment documents to travel from Amritsar to London earlier this year and subsequently sought asylum. A special investigation team's report confirmed the use of forged digital immigration documents. Warrants have been issued, and legal assistance requests will be sent to the UK. The investigation has identified 30 individuals linked to the racket, including airline and ground-handling staff.
