Bengaluru Metro Red Line: BMRCL Begins Soil Testing on Sarjapur Road

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has commenced geotechnical investigations along Sarjapur Road for the proposed 37.8-km Namma Metro Phase 3A corridor, known as the Red Line. This crucial soil testing will assess ground conditions to inform the design and construction of both elevated and underground sections. The project, intended to connect Sarjapur with Hebbal, is currently awaiting approval from the Union government. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has indicated that approval depends on feasibility assessments and financial resource availability.
