Tamil Nadu Minister V. Gandhiraj launched the 'Vettri Special Vegetables Kit', containing 10 varieties of vegetables, at 218 cooperative shops across the state for ₹100. The subsidised kit, weighing approximately 2.55 kg, aims to provide fresh, quality vegetables at an affordable price ahead of Deepavali. It includes items like onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and ginger. The sale is limited to one kit per person and will also be available through mobile vehicles in Chennai. Beneficiaries noted its usefulness amid food inflation and festival needs.

तमिलनाडु के मंत्री वी. गान्धिराज ने राज्य भर में 218 सहकारी दुकानों पर ₹100 में 'वेट्टी स्पेशल वेजिटेबल्स किट' लॉन्च की, जिसमें 10 तरह की सब्ज़ियां हैं। यह सब्सिडी वाली किट, जिसका वज़न लगभग 2.55 किलोग्राम है, दीपावली से पहले ताज़ी, अच्छी क्वालिटी की सब्ज़ियां किफायती दाम पर उपलब्ध कराने के लिए है। इसमें प्याज़, टमाटर, आलू और अदरक जैसी चीज़ें शामिल हैं। बिक्री एक व्यक्ति के लिए एक किट तक सीमित है और चेन्नई में मोबाइल वाहनों के ज़रिए भी उपलब्ध होगी। लाभार्थियों ने खाद्य महंगाई और त्योहार की ज़रूरतों के बीच इसकी उपयोगिता बताई।
