Centre Invites Farmers to Delhi for Talks on Sugarcane Pricing Issues

Former Rajya Sabha member Iranna Kadadi announced that the central government is prepared for discussions on the challenges faced by Karnataka's sugarcane growers. Farmer association representatives have been invited to Delhi to meet officials from relevant ministries and discuss cane pricing and other concerns. Kadadi highlighted that sugarcane is cultivated across 7.3 lakh hectares in Karnataka, supporting 81 sugar factories. He also noted significant increases in ethanol procurement, which has helped mills clear farmers' dues, with 97% cleared this year.
