NHAI Floats Rs2,554 Crore Tender For Six-Laning Nagpur-Bhandara Highway

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated a tender worth Rs2,553.84 crore to widen a 42km stretch of NH-53 between Nagpur and Bhandara to six lanes. This project aims to complete the highway's six-lane connectivity, as parts near Mauda and the Bhandara bypass are already upgraded. Rising vehicular traffic necessitated this upgrade, which will include flyovers, underpasses, and service roads. Land acquisition is complete, and construction is expected to begin soon after the tender award, with an estimated 30-month construction period.
