This accusation stems from remarks made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who differentiated between devotees of Lord Ram and Lord Shiva. Reddy stated that North Indians are Aryans and devotees of Ram, while South Indians are Dravidians and devotees of Shiva, adding that Shiva is the god of the poor and Ram of the rich.
