The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to Meta, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Etah district administration. This action follows a complaint alleging the exploitation of minor children in objectionable social media videos. The children, reportedly from vulnerable backgrounds, were allegedly scripted and made to appear in politically charged content uploaded to an Instagram account. The NHRC has sought action-taken reports within two weeks and directed authorities to ensure the children's protection and investigate the matter.
