Bengaluru Auto Driver Arrested For Assaulting Women

Bengaluru police have arrested a 30-year-old autorickshaw driver, Chetan, following a viral video of him assaulting two women in HSR Layout. One of the women filed a complaint after booking the auto through an app and cancelling it. The driver allegedly abused and assaulted her and her friend when she retorted. Chetan claimed the women fought over payment and were under the influence of alcohol. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.

बेंगलुरु पुलिस ने 30 साल के ऑटो ड्राइवर चेतन को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह गिरफ्तारी HSR लेआउट में दो महिलाओं से मारपीट के एक वायरल वीडियो के बाद हुई। एक महिला ने ऐप के ज़रिए ऑटो बुक करके कैंसिल कर दिया था, जिसके बाद उसने शिकायत दर्ज कराई। आरोप है कि जब महिला ने जवाब दिया तो ड्राइवर ने उसे और उसकी दोस्त को गाली दी और मारा-पीटा। चेतन का दावा है कि महिलाएं पेमेंट को लेकर लड़ रही थीं और नशे में थीं। पुलिस ने कानून की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है।
