Patient Survives After Two Infections From Pacemakers

A 69-year-old woman suffering from complete heart blockage initially received a pacemaker in Bihar, but developed an infection. After the first device was removed, a second traditional pacemaker implanted on the other side of her chest also led to infection. She was then brought to Delhi for advanced treatment. Doctors successfully implanted a dual-chamber leadless pacemaker, a newer technology, which resolved the infection issues and saved her life. The patient recovered well and was discharged two days after the procedure.

पेसमेकर के दो इन्फेक्शन के बाद मरीज़ की जान बची

बिहार में एक 69-साल की महिला को दिल की पूरी तरह ब्लॉक होने की वजह से पेसमेकर लगाया गया था, लेकिन उसमें इन्फेक्शन हो गया। पहला डिवाइस निकालने के बाद, दूसरी तरफ लगाया गया एक और पारंपरिक पेसमेकर भी इन्फेक्ट हो गया। फिर उन्हें दिल्ली लाया गया जहाँ डॉक्टरों ने एक एडवांस्ड लीडलेस पेसमेकर लगाया। इस नई तकनीक से इन्फेक्शन ठीक हो गया और उनकी जान बच गई। मरीज़ ठीक हैं और प्रोसीजर के दो दिन बाद उन्हें डिस्चार्ज कर दिया गया।
