Delhi Government Designates Three New Protest Sites, Jantar Mantar De-notified

The Delhi government has officially de-notified Jantar Mantar as a protest site, following recommendations from a committee formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Citizens seeking to protest or demonstrate in the national capital will now have to utilize three designated locations. These new sites are Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground in East Delhi. A detailed SOP for conducting protests at these new venues will be issued separately. This decision marks a significant shift in managing public demonstrations within the city.

गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा गठित समिति की सिफारिशों के बाद दिल्ली सरकार ने जंतर मंतर को आधिकारिक तौर पर विरोध स्थल के रूप में हटा दिया है। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में विरोध या प्रदर्शन करने के इच्छुक नागरिकों को अब तीन निर्धारित स्थानों का उपयोग करना होगा। ये नए स्थल रामलीला मैदान, बुराड़ी ग्राउंड और पूर्वी दिल्ली में सीबीडी ग्राउंड हैं। इन नए स्थलों पर विरोध प्रदर्शन करने के लिए एक विस्तृत एसओपी अलग से जारी की जाएगी। यह निर्णय शहर के भीतर सार्वजनिक प्रदर्शनों के प्रबंधन में एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव का प्रतीक है।
