A civil police officer in Kerala, Tiju, is likely to face departmental action after allegedly assaulting a motorist while under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred in Mukkola after the officer's motorcycle reportedly hit a car that had broken down. Following an argument, the officer allegedly pulled the motorist out and assaulted him with a helmet. Vizhinjam Police registered a case against the officer, who was later released on bail. Further action will be decided after a report from the marine enforcement SP is examined.
