CAQM Warns Punjab, Haryana Over Stubble Burning; Action Promised

CAQM has issued strict directives to Punjab and Haryana regarding stubble burning and other pollution sources. During review meetings held, the commission emphasized the need to intensify ground-level actions and implement plans within set timelines. CAQM stressed effective use of crop residue management machines and exploring industrial uses for stubble to benefit farmers and reduce pollution. The commission also reviewed measures to control vehicular, construction, and industrial pollution in the region.

CAQM ने पराली जलाने और प्रदूषण के अन्य स्रोतों को लेकर पंजाब और हरियाणा को सख्त निर्देश जारी किए हैं। आयोजित समीक्षा बैठकों के दौरान, आयोग ने जमीनी स्तर पर कार्रवाई तेज करने और निर्धारित समय-सीमा के भीतर योजनाओं को लागू करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। CAQM ने फसल अवशेष प्रबंधन मशीनों के प्रभावी उपयोग और किसानों को लाभ पहुंचाने तथा प्रदूषण कम करने के लिए पराली के औद्योगिक उपयोग की संभावनाओं को तलाशने पर जोर दिया। आयोग ने क्षेत्र में वाहनों, निर्माण और औद्योगिक प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करने के उपायों की भी समीक्षा की।
