Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has drawn a parallel between the 1928 anti-Simon Commission agitation and the current Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He suggested a nationwide movement could emerge against the SIR, similar to the 'Simon Go Back' slogan. Reddy alleged centralization of electoral roll decisions and the use of artificial intelligence in the process. He also criticized the Union government for alleged bias towards Gujarat over Telangana in development projects and resource allocation.
