JNU has again become a site of political tension after slogans like 'Free Umar Khalid' and 'Long Live Naxal' appeared on its walls. ABVP has strongly criticized left-wing student groups and the JNU Students' Union for this act. ABVP alleges that these slogans were inspired by statements supporting Umar Khalid, who is currently in judicial custody for the 2020 Delhi riots.
