India Launches Sovereign AI Models Capable of Offline Operation

Two government-backed startups, Soket AI and ZenteiQ, have released sovereign AI models designed to function in air-gapped environments, completely isolated from external networks. Soket AI's EKA-1 model, with 26.3 billion parameters, is trained for mathematics and coding in Indian languages and English. ZenteiQ introduced open-source multilingual assistants, Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B, supporting English and ten Indian languages for secure, offline use. These models can run on devices with minimal memory, making them suitable for critical sectors like defence and cybersecurity without data leaving the local system.

दो सरकारी कंपनियों, Soket AI और ZenteiQ ने ऐसे AI मॉडल बनाए हैं जो पूरी तरह से इंटरनेट से अलग, यानी एयर-गैप्ड माहौल में भी काम कर सकते हैं। Soket AI का EKA-1 मॉडल, जिसमें 26.3 अरब पैरामीटर हैं, भारतीय भाषाओं और अंग्रेजी में गणित और कोडिंग के लिए ट्रेन किया गया है। ZenteiQ ने ओपन-सोर्स बहुभाषी असिस्टेंट, Dhīr 2B और Dhīr 5B पेश किए हैं, जो अंग्रेजी और दस भारतीय भाषाओं का समर्थन करते हैं और सुरक्षित, ऑफलाइन उपयोग के लिए हैं। ये मॉडल कम मेमोरी वाले डिवाइस पर भी चल सकते हैं, जिससे ये रक्षा और साइबर सुरक्षा जैसे महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों के लिए उपयुक्त हैं क्योंकि डेटा लोकल सिस्टम से बाहर नहीं जाता है।
