Drone Transport Slashes TB Diagnosis Time Significantly

A pilot study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has demonstrated that drone transport can reduce TB diagnosis time from 15 days to just 5 days. This innovative approach also drastically cut patient out-of-pocket expenses from approximately ₹9,000 to only ₹91. आईसीएमआर (ICMR) की एक पायलट स्टडी में पता चला है कि ड्रोन से सैंपल भेजने पर टीबी (TB) की जांच का समय 15 दिन से घटकर सिर्फ 5 दिन हो गया है। इससे मरीजों का जेब से होने वाला खर्च भी करीब ₹9,000 से घटकर सिर्फ ₹91 रह गया है। यह लॉजिस्टिक्स में बड़ा सुधार है, जो दूरदराज के इलाकों में इलाज जल्दी शुरू करने और बेहतर नतीजों के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है।
