West Singhbhum Admin Promotes Utensil Banks in Rural Areas

The West Singhbhum district administration has launched an awareness campaign to popularise utensil banks in rural areas. This initiative aims to encourage residents to reduce the use of single-use plastic and disposable utensils at social and community events. Rural families can now rent reusable utensils for weddings, festivals, and other gatherings, with charges starting at Rs 2,500. An awareness vehicle is visiting villages to inform people about the benefits, utility, and environmental conservation role of these banks.

पश्चिम सिंहभूम जिला प्रशासन ने ग्रामीण इलाकों में बर्तन बैंकों को लोकप्रिय बनाने के लिए एक जागरूकता अभियान शुरू किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य सामाजिक और सामुदायिक कार्यक्रमों में एकल-उपयोग प्लास्टिक और डिस्पोजेबल बर्तनों के उपयोग को कम करने के लिए निवासियों को प्रोत्साहित करना है। ग्रामीण परिवार अब शादियों, त्योहारों और अन्य समारोहों के लिए 2,500 रुपये से शुरू होने वाले शुल्क पर पुन: प्रयोज्य बर्तन किराए पर ले सकते हैं। एक जागरूकता वाहन गांवों का दौरा कर रहा है ताकि लोगों को इन बैंकों के लाभों, उपयोगिता और पर्यावरण संरक्षण की भूमिका के बारे में सूचित किया जा सके।
