Ryan Johnson, recently traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins, has been demoted to the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. This move comes just one week after his trade from the Sabres, where he was a first-round pick. Johnson did not make his NHL debut with the Penguins before this demotion. The unexpected turn raises questions about his immediate future with the organization and his path to the NHL.
