The United Nations has warned of a mounting humanitarian disaster in Yemen's Taiz, which has been under a Houthi siege for nearly three weeks, preventing essential supplies from entering. Over 800,000 people are cut off from aid, with about three-quarters dependent on humanitarian assistance. Hospitals face critical shortages of fuel, oxygen, and medicine, while over 52,000 children suffer from acute malnutrition. The UN is desperately trying to regain access to the city, as fighting intensifies in the province.
