VW, Audi Recall Nearly 1 Million Cars

Volkswagen and its subsidiary Audi are initiating a recall of nearly one million vehicles in Germany due to a potential steering fault. The German road traffic authority cited possible bolt failures that could damage the steering gearbox or lead to a complete loss of steering. Affected models include VW Tiguan, Touran, Golf Variant, Caddy, and Golf produced between September 2013 and July 2024. While VW believes only a small proportion of vehicles will be affected, the recall addresses a significant safety concern for drivers.
