After nearly a year and intervention from the Supreme Court, Jammu and Kashmir government has finally issued a no-objection certificate to international canoeing coach Bilquis Mir. The SC had directed the government to provide the NOC by September 15, allowing Mir to join the Indian kayaking and canoeing team for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Mir expressed dismay over the prolonged delay and legal battles for this prestigious assignment.

जम्मू और कश्मीर सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के हस्तक्षेप के बाद आखिरकार अंतरराष्ट्रीय कैनोइंग कोच बिलकिस मीर को अनापत्ति प्रमाण पत्र (NOC) दे दिया है। यह मामला करीब एक साल से चल रहा था। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 15 सितंबर तक NOC देने का आदेश दिया था, ताकि मीर 2026 जापान एशियन गेम्स के लिए भारतीय टीम से जुड़ सकें। मीर ने इस देरी और कानूनी लड़ाई पर निराशा जताई।
