Veeramani's Daughter Attempting to Fly to Singapore Deboarded at Chennai Airport

Authorities in Chennai have prevented Archana Veeramani, daughter of granite baron R Veeramani, from flying to Singapore. She was deboarded from an IndiGo flight after immigration clearance and boarding. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing multiple POCSO cases against her father for alleged sexual offences against minor girls. The SIT is also investigating potential attempts to shield Veeramani and examining financial transactions related to the cases. Several associates have already been arrested.

चेन्नई में अधिकारियों ने ग्रेनाइट कारोबारी आर वीरमणि की बेटी अर्चना वीरमणि को सिंगापुर जाने से रोक दिया है। इमिग्रेशन क्लीयरेंस और बोर्डिंग के बाद उन्हें इंडिगो की फ्लाइट से उतारा गया। स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम (SIT) नाबालिग लड़कियों के खिलाफ कथित यौन अपराधों के लिए उनके पिता के खिलाफ कई POCSO मामलों की जांच कर रही है। SIT वीरमणि को बचाने के संभावित प्रयासों की भी जांच कर रही है और मामलों से संबंधित वित्तीय लेनदेन की भी जांच कर रही है। कई सहयोगियों को पहले ही गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है।
