Odia Volunteers Aid Rain-Hit Cricket Match in Tokyo

Two Odia men based in Tokyo volunteered to help prepare the Sano International Cricket Ground for a rain-shortened T20I between India and Japan. Afroz Khan and Abhinash Sahu worked with others to clear water and leaves from the ground after Typhoon Dujuan. The match, organized to celebrate 75 years of Indo-Japan friendship, saw India win by two runs. Volunteers also helped increase the ground's capacity by adding temporary seating for the event.

टोक्यो में रहने वाले दो ओडिया लोगों ने भारत और जापान के बीच बारिश से छोटे हुए T20I मैच के लिए सानो इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट ग्राउंड को तैयार करने में मदद की। अफरोज खान और अविनाश साहू ने टाइफून डुजुआन के बाद मैदान से पानी और पत्ते साफ करने में दूसरों के साथ काम किया। भारत-जापान दोस्ती के 75 साल पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित इस मैच में भारत ने दो रनों से जीत हासिल की। स्वयंसेवकों ने अस्थायी बैठने की व्यवस्था करके आयोजन के लिए मैदान की क्षमता बढ़ाने में भी मदद की।
