Oklahoma's head coach Brent Venables has parted ways with offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle following a disappointing 4-4 season. The Sooners' offense has struggled significantly, ranking near the bottom of the SEC in yards and touchdowns. Despite the firing, Oklahoma is contractually obligated to continue paying Arbuckle $125,000 monthly until January 2028. This marks the second in-season offensive coordinator dismissal by Venables at Oklahoma. Tight ends coach Jason Witten is expected to take over interim play-calling duties.
