Authorities in Meghalaya's West Khasi Hills district have requested a detailed report following the death of a three-year-old boy who died in his mother's arms during a three-hour trek to the nearest hospital. The family attempted to arrange a vehicle after the child's health deteriorated, but no driver would travel to their village due to poor road conditions. Villagers are blaming the child's death on poor surface connectivity and are urging the state government to improve road access.
