Govt Hikes Export Duty On Diesel, ATF

The Indian government has increased the export duty on diesel to Rs 15.5 per litre and on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) to Rs 14.5 per litre. This move aims to curb domestic fuel hoarding and ensure adequate supply for the Indian market. Previously, these duties were significantly lower, reflecting a shift in policy to prioritize internal demand amidst global energy price volatility.

सरकार ने डीज़ल पर निर्यात शुल्क बढ़ाकर ₹15.5 प्रति लीटर और एविएशन टर्बाइन फ्यूल (ATF) पर ₹14.5 प्रति लीटर कर दिया है। इस कदम से देश में ईंधन की जमाखोरी रुकेगी और भारतीय बाज़ार में पर्याप्त आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित होगी। पहले ये शुल्क काफी कम थे, लेकिन अब घरेलू मांग को प्राथमिकता देने की नीति अपनाई गई है।
